CBD Balms

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical compound that occurs naturally in cannabis. Together with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), they form the major phytocannabinoids in marijuana. CBD is greatly celebrated in the wellness sector as a unique natural supplement with significant health benefits. It has increased in popularity over recent years, with millions of Google searches per month. There are several forms of CBD available, giving users various options to try out. One such form is CBD balm.

CBD balm is a calming and moisturising ointment produced by combining CBD with a mixture of organic wellness substances such as rosehip, argan, organic beeswax, eucalyptus, lavender, geranium oils, coconut oil, etc. Waxes and fatty oils form the base of CBD balms, making them more solid and thicker than lotions.

CBD balm belongs to the group of products generally referred to as “CBD topicals.” They are applied directly to the affected area on the body for localised effects. Upon application, CBD balm is gently and carefully massaged onto the muscles, joints, or skin.

CBD balms, like other CBD forms, can be full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or CBD isolates formula. Full-spectrum CBD balms contain the full-spectrum hemp extract, which includes CBD, terpenes, flavonoids, vitamins, essential oils, and other phytocannabinoids, including a trace amount of THC (less than 0.3%). The broad-spectrum formula contains the same ingredients but does not include THC. Lastly, the CBD isolate products are pure CBD extract.
